Eccolo: straordinario Viktor Kolář – ed anche essere, così, un po’ a Praga!

House at the Stone Bell, Old Town Square, Prague

The Stone Bell Galerie

Placed beneath The Church of the Mother of God in front of Týn in Old square, the House at the Stone Bell Galerie couldn’t have been situated  in a more Gothic and Baroque setting. However Czech photographer Viktor Kolář’s work is a far cry from the fairytale-like  tourist-friendly Prague. His bleak unflinching images of intense poverty of urban life in the Ostrava Region of Czech Republic inhabit three floors of the 14th century gallery, with each one his displayed works in stark black and white- devoid of any colour.
